Hi
all. If you perceive that there are four possible ways in which a production can go wrong, then a fifth way will almost certainly raise it’s ugly head. This was the experience of post producing “The Gathering” live DVD. Let’s just say that following an exciting and very enjoyable recording in front of a fantastic audience, a number of issues raised “opportunities” to be solved. However, as the Sun sets on Rob’s nervous breakdown, the DVD is now well on the way to completion; it’s looking and sounding fantastic by the way (if we may be so bold!) so many thanks to all of you who came along and made it what it is. We're all sure that you'll love the end result and that the little extra time will be well worth the wait. As a taster here’s some of the DVD art work to look at. ‘The
Gathering’ DVD is now available for pre-order at www.progrock.co.uk We
have been busily concentrating on the next two gigs at The Borderline,
London (22nd October) and at the HLC, Rotherham (29th
October). A few new
tracks have been added to the set which some of you would have seen at
the Summers End Festival. We’ve
also introduced tracks that have been on many peoples wish list for
quite some time, I’m sure you’ll recognise them straight away. The end result is that for these upcoming two gigs only,
we’ll be performing every track from ‘Seven’, and to introduce
you to the new and exciting “Home” CD, a special four track medley
will be played. All of
this then with a couple extra splashes of Magenta colour will make up
the shows. We are looking forward to seeing you all at the gigs and as
ever we really can't wait to get back on stage to perform. Also, over the next few weeks we will be making changes to the current Website in preparation for a new one that should be up and running in the very near future… it’s under construction as we speak! We
would also like to thank Huw Lloyd-Jones for setting up the Summers
End Festival and for making it a successful and enjoyable event for
both the bands and the audience.
It was, as always, an honour to be asked to play and to be
given such a warm welcome by all that attended.
Finally, before we end this brief update we would also like to congratulate the stage hopping Chris Fry and his lovely new bride Rhona on tying the marital knot. Also Daniel Fry for a very well played first gig, he was simply amazing considering the time he had to prepare. See
you all soon and take very good care. MAGENTA
